GP Cellulose Supports Global Hygiene Demand

The demand for hygiene products is on the rise. With a strong commitment to addressing global hygiene needs, GP Cellulose has taken deliberate steps to help meet this demand with quality pulp.

In 2022, GP Cellulose announced an $80 million investment in its Alabama River Cellulose mill, aimed at enhancing the mill’s fluff pulp production capacity. This year, the mill successfully rolled out its first batch of fluff pulp, underscoring our dedication to meeting global demand.

Fluff pulp is a key component in many personal hygiene products, including incontinence products, hospital applications, baby care items, and feminine hygiene products. These products play a vital role in maintaining healthy populations, supporting human dignity, and reducing societal barriers that can prevent individuals from reaching their full potential.

In the coming years, the demand for hygiene products is expected to increase. Between 2023 and 2028, the global hygiene market is expected to grow by approximately 2.5%, an increase from the previous five years’ 1.2% growth.1 Notably, the feminine hygiene and baby diaper sectors are projected to grow by 2%, particularly in the Asia-Pacific (APAC) and African regions.1 With approximately 80% of the global fluff pulp supply originating from the southeastern United States1, GP Cellulose plays a crucial role in helping to meet these demands.

GP Cellulose’s ongoing investment and innovation reflect its commitment to societal wellbeing and the enhancement of human dignity. By providing the essential components for products that support everyday health and confidence, GP Cellulose is supporting access to hygiene products worldwide.

In a world where hygiene is essential, GP Cellulose is more than a supplier; it is a partner in global health and wellbeing. Through strategic investments and a focus on quality, GP Cellulose continues to support the growing global demand for hygiene products, fostering a healthier, more dignified future for many.
