Their solution: an ingenious technology platform that provides greater visibility and traceability into GP’s softwood fiber supply chain.
Enter ForestLogic
Combining the power of state-of-the-art geospatial technologies with real-time analytics, ForestLogic captures and crunches geographic data and other critical information necessary to ensure GP’s softwood fiber supply is harvested from responsibly managed forests and avoids forest of unique conservation value.
ForestLogic enables GP foresters to conduct comprehensive timber assessments and monitor the health of softwood forests and woodlands throughout the southeastern United States (U.S.). Through ForestLogic’s proprietary capabilities, GP foresters can also trace – to the discrete harvest area – the origins of the softwood fiber used by GP mills in the region to produce valuable commodities such as fluff pulp.
